Poetry Unit

Poetry

Please find below a range of poems to be used during our reading and writing units over the next 3 weeks.You will be expected to have read all 4 poems by the end of the term. 

For writing, you will be expected to have published a 'concrete' or shape poem, a haiku, a cinquain, 


Learning Intention/
WALT create vivid imagery in the readers mind using descriptive and emotive language in our poetic writing (*specifically shape poetry)


Success Criteria/
Use of descriptive language, language that describe/depict feeling, emotion, etc
Proof read and edited for punctuation, capitals, spelling (have a partner read and proof, too)

and lastly a narrative poem by the end of Term 3. The following poems show  a range of poems, but essentially give you a perspective of what form a narrative poem may take.
